Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov says that Ukraine will present its arguments to Russia about the fact that the negotiations on creation of free trade zone with the European Union do not contradict agreements that are currently in force.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, he said this during the meeting with representatives of mass media of Germany in Kyiv today.

“We will present our arguments to the Russian side and we will show that nothing in the negotiations with the EU contradicts agreements that are currently in force”, said M. Azarov.

At the same time the Prime Minister of Ukraine noted that he understands the position of the Russian Federation in this situation.

He believes that the Russian side did not express its discontent concerning the negotiations of Ukraine on free trade zone with the European Union but only express its view about correlation of cooperation of Ukraine with the EU within a framework of the Free Trade Zone and Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.

“International treaties should not contradict other treaties”, M. Azarov stressed.
