President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko believes that leadership of Ukraine demonstrated lack of initiative in its policy towards Belarus having recalled under pressure of the European Commission its invitation directed to the Byelorussian leader to Kyiv Summit on the Safe and Innovative Use of Nuclear Energy.

According to Byelorussian service of  “Svoboda” radio station, A. Lukashenko expressed this opinion yesterday answering the question of journalists concerning a reason of his absence at Kyiv conference.

“It’s a pity but current leadership of Ukraine also has enough lousiness. It is necessary to put this question to Yanukovych, why the President of Belarus is absent at their events”, said A. Lukashenko.
