Former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko believes the documents that became the basis for the criminal investigated launched against her indicate that this is a case of political persecution ordered by the authorities, according to Official website of Yulia Tymoshenko.
"Most of the materials in the case that were submitted by the prosecutor’s office are fabricated, they are not real," Yulia Tymoshenko said.
Serhiy Vlasenko, Yulia Tymoshenko’s defender, said that yesterday he was able to review only part of the materials. "It is obvious that this case was ordered, and evidence of this can be found in the volumes of documents that the Prosecutor General’s Office submitted to the court," he said.
According to Vlasenko, during today’s hearing the plaintiff plans to ask the court for additional time to review the case materials.
