Batkivshchyna Party leader and ex-Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko is currently in the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) where prosecutors are pursuing their investigation in the criminal case against her over gas agreements signed with Russia in 2009, according to the Official website of Yulia Tymoshenko.

Last week, Yulia Tymoshenko personally informed the Prosecutor General’s Office that she would not be able to take part in the inquiry due to illness, after which she was issued a summons for the morning of May 24.

Yulia Tymoshenko arrived at the Prosecutor General’s Office today at 10 a.m. After speaking with journalists, she entered the building to find heightened security – officers in camouflage, masks and body armor.

At the time of her arrival, a special vehicle for transporting those arrested was already parked in the courtyard of the PGO, surrounded by masked law enforcement officers.

Journalists were able to see this after supporters of Yulia Tymoshenko suddenly rushed from the main entrance of the PGO to the courtyard.

Supporters of Yulia Tymoshenko together with representatives of Batkivshchyna and people’s deputies of the BYuT-Batkivshchyna faction blocked the driveway at the back entrance to the PGO building.
