Trade turnover between Ukraine and Russia will exceed $50 billion in 2011, President Viktor Yanukovych sad at his today’s meeting with Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller, according to the Press office of President Viktor Yanukovych.

"We are now making estimates on a number of directions. And we see that the trade turnover between our countries continues to grow. From the dynamics we see, it will reach $50 billion. That will happen for the first time in the history of our trade and economic relations," Viktor Yanukovych said. He reminded that last year, the trade turnover between Ukraine and Russia has grown to nearly $42 billion.

"This is a very serious growth," Viktor Yanukovych said.

He also noted he plans to meet with his Russian colleague at the end of June in the framework of a meeting of the Economic Committee of the Ukrainian-Russian Intergovernmental Commission.

Viktor Yanukovych emphasized that the strategic commission chaired by the Presidents of our countries will continue working.
