Batkivshchyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko has issued an open letter to Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Pshonka, according to the Official website of Yulia Tymoshenko.

"This is the third time that I am asking you to cancel the resolution on opening the politically motivated criminal cases against me and series of illegal actions by investigators and prosecutors in these three cases. Given that my previous complaints, which were addressed to you personally, weren’t answered by you within the required deadline, I am forced to make my third appeal public," Yulia Tymoshenko said in an open letter.

"I am well aware, based on your own words, that Yanukovych’s instructions carry more legal weight for you than the Ukrainian Constitution and laws. Your cronyism with Yanukovych is also not a secret. People like Yanukovych come and go, but the law and responsibility for breaking it remains," she said.

Yulia Tymoshenko reminded the prosecutor general that today is the deadline by which he must legally respond to her complaint, which was registered on Thursday, May 26.

"I know that you understand the political nature of the cases brought against me and, therefore, don’t want to leave your autograph. However, silence doesn’t free you of the responsibility for the abuses related to this case and illegality of these charges. Therefore, I once again ask you to respond immediately to my complaint," she stressed.

Yulia Tymoshenko underscored that the job of the prosecutor’s office is to monitor compliance with the constitution and laws and that by not responding to her complaint, the prosecutor general is himself breaking the law and must be held accountable.
