Tomorrow, June 8, at 2:20 p.m. Batkivshchyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko will attend a hearing at the Kyiv Court of Appeals in her appeal of the ruling by the Pechersk District Court on the legality of the criminal case opened against her over gas contracts from 2009, according to the Official website of Yulia Tymoshenko.
The former prime minister considers unlawful the criminal persecution of her by the Prosecutor General’s Office.
As reported, on May 16 the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv, in spite of evidence, ruled legal the resolution of the Prosecutor General’s Office on opening a criminal case against Yulia Tymoshenko over gas agreements signed in 2009 with Russia while she was prime minister.
Yulia Tymoshenko and her lawyer, Serhiy Vlasenko, have appealed this decision.
