Judge Rodion Kireyev has called a recess in the trial until July 11, following the hospitalization of Yulia Tymoshenko’s lawyer Mykola Tytarenko, according to Official website of Yulia Tymoshenko.

"The court is adjourned until July 11," the judge was forced to announce, as he believed it was possible to continue the proceedings without the defense lawyer. Only after remarks by the prosecution and Yulia Tymoshenko’s insistence did he agree to postpone the hearing.

As reported, Yulia Tymoshenko’s lawyer Mykola Tytarenko had earlier this morning asked the judge to postpone the proceedings until July 11, claiming he was suffering from health problems.

"The conditions that have been created in the court amount to torture, because the hearings last from morning till night. You didn’t give us the opportunity to review the case file. It’s 5,000 pages long. He has slept 2-3 hours each of past three nights. He faces a dilemma – either provide quality defense or lose consciousness directly in the courtroom. You have deliberately created such conditions," Yulia Tymoshenko told the judge.

State prosecutors asked the court not to grant the motion, since in their opinion, “the lawyer’s appearance doesn’t indicate a poor state of health.” Nevertheless, the judge was forced to announce a break and call a doctor for Mykola Tytarenko.

Immediately after an examination, Yulia Tymoshenko’s lawyer was taken by ambulance to the Kyiv Oblast Hospital with a preliminary diagnosis of “acute heart failure.” A medical certificate was given to the secretary of the Pechersk District Court.
