Lawmaker of Ukraine Yuriy Prokopchuk (the BYUT-Batkivshchyna faction) will apply to the Prosecutor General’s Office on the fact of his beating by one of the commanders of Berkut special subdivision Volodymyr Aleksandrov.
Y. Prokopchuk said this in the comment to an UNIAN correspondent.
“I have already applied to the PGO concerning committing a crime (on July 25 in Pechersk District Court of Kyiv – UNIAN). Now I will apply again”, said Y. Prokopchuk.
According to his words, today when he was going to Kyiv City State Administration together with other citizens during the rally-protest against the arrest of former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko, colonel V. Aleksandrov “run up from behind and struck me into right side”.
“According to doctors, the symptoms are similar to a fact that two my ribs are broken. It is hard to breathe in and there is a swelling”, noted the lawmaker.
Y. Prokopchuk underlined that he will obligatory turn to doctors in order to register received injuries.
“That`s not the point that I am the lawmaker. From early beginning commander of Berkut behaved rudely towards people who went into the street”, underlined the lawmaker.
