Lawmakers from the BYUT-Batkivshchyna and OU-PSD factions left the session hall in a sign of protest against political repressions in the country.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, it happened immediately after registration of the lawmakers in the Verkhovna Rada.

When Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Lytvyn announced that the President of Ukraine arrived in the parliament, lawmakers from the BYUT-Batkivshchyna faction were chanting: “Shame!”.

Lawmakers from the BYUT-Batkivshchyna and OU-PSD factions did not wait for the official announcement of the opening of the 9th session of the parliament. They left the session hall having left the posters with images of Yuriy Lutsenko and Yulia Tymoshenko.
