Kireyev refuses to allow EPP President to visit Yulia Tymoshenko in jail

Judge Rodion Kireyev of the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv has rejected the request by European People’s Party (EPP) President Wilfried Martens to visit Batkivshchyna Party leader and former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko in jail, according to the Official web site of Yulia Tymoshenko.

“Yesterday the request by EPP President Wilfried Martens was denied,” reports the Kyiv Office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.

EPP President Wilfried Martens has requested permission from the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv to visit Yulia Tymoshenko in jail during his visit to Ukraine on September 13-16.
