Yanukovych took part in official reception hosted by U.S. President

In New York, President Viktor Yanukovych took part in an official reception hosted by U.S. President Barack Obama, according to the Press office of President Viktor Yanukovych.

During the event, President Yanukovych had a brief conversation with President Obama, during which the U.S. President praised the outstanding contribution of the current Ukrainian leadership to promoting global nuclear safety. The President of Ukraine also had short talks with President of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, and President of Finland Tarja Halonen.

In addition, Viktor Yanukovych met with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey and President of the European Union Herman van Rompuy.
