Lawmaker of Ukraine Oleg Lyashko (out factional) came to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with a pumpkin. He presented it to the government.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, O. Lyashko came with the pumpkin to the rostrum of the parliament and said that when “girls reject fiancés” girls give them a pumpkin.
O. Lyashko said that on behalf of people he gives a pumpkin to the government for all its actions.
According to his words, people give a pumpkin today and “tomorrow they will come with pitchfork”.
He stressed that he gives a pumpkin to the government in order to show “how people love you”. “This pumpkin is as rotten as your power”, added O. Lyashko.
This pumpkin was all in black spots and really unattractive.
After his speech O. Lyashko put the pumpkin on a stand near the chair of Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov who was not present in the session hall. Representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ivan Tkalenko was present in the session hall.
In some minutes a woman from the service staff of the parliament took the pumpkin away.
Lawmaker Volodymyr Yavorivskyi (the BYUT-Batkivshchyna faction) delivered a speech after O. Lyashko. V. Yavorivskyi noted that by the way girls should present pumpkins. Lawmakers started laughing in the session hall.
