Ukraine and Greece should work for further development of traditionally friendly relations.

The press service of the President of Ukraine disclosed to UNIAN that President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych said this in Athens during the meeting with President of Hellenic Republic Karolos Papoulias.

V. Yanukovych noted that the feeling of mutual respect and support ties the Ukrainian and Greek peoples since olden times.

The President of Greece, welcoming his Ukrainian counterpart on behalf of the Greek people, expressed confidence that the state visit of V. Yanukovych will become an important step in development of the bilateral relations of Ukraine and Greece.
