On October 20, 2011, President Viktor Yanukovych will start his six-day Latin American tour that includes state visits to Cuba and Brazil, Presidential Administration Chief of Staff Serhiy Lyovochkin has informed, according to the Press office of President Viktor Yanukovych.

During the visit to Cuba, President Yanukovych will meet the country’s leadership. Several bilateral documents are to be signed in the framework of the talks.

The President will visit Tarara resort, where Chernobyl disaster affected Ukrainian children have been regularly treated for more than 20 years now, the Center of Molecular Immunology in Havana, and take part in a Ukrainian-Cuban business forum.

During the visit to Brazil, the President is scheduled to meet the country’s leadership to discuss the whole spectrum of bilateral relations, including the intensification of political contacts at the highest level, trade-economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation. Particular attention will be devoted to the implementation of the Cyclone-4 – Alcantara project. The Presidents of Ukraine and Brazil are scheduled to sign a Joint Statement and take part in a Ukrainian-Brazilian business forum.

Serhiy Lyovochkin also added that it is possible that before starting the tour, in the morning of October 20, the President of Ukraine would visit Brussels.
