President of Poland Bronisław Komorowski and Federal President of Germany Christian Wulff expressed a regret that President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych could not arrive in Poland and could not take part in celebrations on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of Wroclaw University because of bad weather.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, they said this at the celebrations on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of Wroclaw University.

In particular, during his speech B. Komorowski expressed a regret that V. Yanukovych could not arrive in Poland from Ukraine because of fog in Wroclaw.

At the same time he expressed a hope that V. Yanukovych will arrive in Poland and can take part in a trilateral meeting.

The President of Germany also expressed a hope that a fog will lift. “We will meet with V. Yanukovych when a fog lifts, and I believe that a fog will lift from Ukraine”, he said.

He underlined that Ukraine joined the values of Europe having signed an agreement “On Eastern Partnership”.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Poland Markiyan Malskiy read congratulation from V. Yanukovych that he passed from the board of the plane while he was waiting for the flight to Poland. In his congratulatory speech the President of Ukraine noted that

Wroclaw University has made a valuable contribution to development of the Ukrainian- Polish relations.

According to the recent information, the President of Ukraine has not left for Poland yet because of the fog in Wroclaw.
