Yanukovych: coalition to be formed on basis of Party of Regions

The Party of Regions is confident that, despite the talks between the Socialist Party of Ukraine, the Block of Yulia Tymoshenko, and Our Ukraine, the coalition will be formed on its basis.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, Party of Regions front-runner Victor Yanukovych disclosed this to journalists.

He stressed that the coalition will be formed on the basis of the Party of Regions, as “it is the winner of the parliamentary elections”.

Commenting on the meeting of President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko with Our Ukraine, BYT, and SPU, scheduled for today, V.Yanukovych turned attention to the fact that Victor Yushchenko may not take part in the coalition talks.
