Ukraine’s election campaign has started, “both de jure and de facto,” Maryna Stavniychuk, President Victor Yushchenko’s deputy chief of staff and representative to the Central Election Commission and the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, said at a press briefing on Friday, according to the President`s press-office.

She said the two-month campaign would be “legal and dynamic” and added that President Yushchenko, as guarantor of the constitution and electoral rights, would oversee and control the process to ensure the citizens of Ukraine can “elect and be elected in a free manner” on September 30.
