If the election to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine takes place in the nearest Sunday, four political forces would overcome the three percent’s barrier – The Party of Regions, Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc, Our Ukraine – People’s Self Defence Bloc and the Communist Party of Ukraine.
President of “Socioizmerenie” sociological and political science researches center, director of International Democracies Institute Sergiy Taran published such data of the representative poll at the news conference in UNIAN
According to the received data, some 26.3% of citizens are ready to vote for the Party of Regions, some 21.4% would give their votes for Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc, some 14.1% of those polled would give their votes for Our Ukraine – People’s Self Defence Bloc, the Communist Party of Ukraine would get some 4.7%.
Beyond the three per cent barrier left Lytvyn’s Bloc, which according to the results of the poll received some 2.8% of voters, some 1.1% of those polled are ready to vote for the Socialist Party of Ukraine, and the Progressive Socialistic party of Ukraine, which received some 0.7% of votes.
At the same time some 5.6% of those polled are going to vote for other parties, for some 9.3% of those polled it was hard to answer the question, some 3.7% of those polled will vote against all, some 10.2% of citizens are not going to take part in voting in early election to the Verkhovna Rada.
The «Socioizmerenie» sociological and political science researches center from July 23 to August 1, 2007 in the 16 Oblasts of Ukraine and in Kyiv city carried out the representative poll. By the method of interview 2100 respondents over 18 years were polled, the error margin makes up some 2.3%.
