Man infected with malaria hospitalized in Vinnytsa Oblast

Inhabitant of Vapnyarka of Tomashpolskyi region of the Vinnytsa Oblast infected with malaria has been hospitalized.

Head of epidemiological department of the Vinnytsa Oblast Sanitary-and-Epidemiologic Institution Stepan Tomin said this to UNIAN.

According to his words, on January 6 a military retiree, 38, consulted a doctor having arrived from Guinea where he was infected. The man was in this country for the last 6 months.

S. Tomin noted that the man undergoes a course of medical treatment in Vinnytsa infectious diseases hospital № 1 and he does not pose a threat to people.
