The authorities, despite their public statements, have still not allowed independent doctors examine Yulia Tymoshenko, lawyer Serhiy Vlasenko has said, according to the Official web site of Yulia Tymoshenko.
“Pshonka recognizes that independent doctors must be admitted, but the prosecutor’s office says that conducting an investigation with a bedridden person is normal practice. His actions are illogical,” Serhiy Vlasenko told journalists today in Kharkiv.
“If he [Pshonka] wants to look like a democratic, then he should at least try to be one on small issues. I understand that Mr. Pshonka remembers his pledge that he gave President Yanukovych. He said: ‘I am a member of the president’s team and will carry out all his orders.’ And he’s carrying them out in the case of Tymoshenko,” he added.
Serhiy Vlasenko also said that if the prosecutor general’s statements were sincere, the he should be carefully monitoring the legality of activities in the Yulia Tymoshenko case.
