10 years for implementation of Agreement is short term – EU

An implementation of the agreement on association between Ukraine and the European Union can last for 10 years.

The head of Political Section of the Mission of the European Union to Ukraine, Hannes Schreiber said this in Kyiv today during the Euro Atlantic Forum “Ukraine and the EU on the threshold of an agreement on association: free trade, energy security and democracy”. 

“10 years is a short period. Implementation of the agreement will demand long procedures,  and require more efforts than simply signing and ratification. It will demand big actions from the Ukrainian administration and will last 10 years. I believe that 10 years is a very ambitious goal”, - said Hannes Schreiber.
