The General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine states that oppositional lawmakers “persistently forced” Prosecutor General Victor Pshonka to interfere in the process of the trials on cases of ex Interior Minister of Ukraine Yuri Lutsenko, former acting Defense Minister Valeriy Ivashchenko and ex Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko.

It is said in the statement of the Mass Media Department of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine; the statement was passed to UNIAN.

It is reminded in the document that today leadership of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine held the meeting with lawmakers of the opposition Andriy Pavlovskyi, Olena Bondarenko, Volodymyr Arjev, Yuri Hrymchak and Taras Stetskiv.

“During this meeting the mentioned lawmakers persistently forced the Prosecutor General to interfere in the process of the trials of Yu. Tymoshenko, Y. Lutsenko and V. Ivashchenko; that is a direct violation of the effective Ukrainian legislation and entails a criminal responsibility”, - said the PGO.
