The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine refused to decriminalize the article 365 of the Criminal Code, by which ex Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko was convicted.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, only 159 out of 434 lawmakers registered in the session hall voted for adoption of the corresponding draft law “On Introducing Amendments into the Criminal Code of Ukraine concerning the harmonization of the national criminal legislation with UN convention against corruption” submitted by lawmaker from the BYUT-Batkivshchyna faction Dmytro Shvets.
