EU Mission: Teixeira was quoted wrongly

Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Jose Manuel Pinto Teixeira was quoted wrongly concerning compatibility of the free trade zone between Ukraine and the EU, and between Ukraine and CIS countries.

The EU Delegation to Ukraine disclosed this to UNIAN.

“From early beginning and step by step the European Union has stated that profound and overall free trade zone, which stipulates a considerable integration of Ukraine with the EU is not incompatible with the agreement on free trade zone with CIS countries, but is incompatible with the Customs Union between Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan”, the EU Delegation to Ukraine specified the quotation of J. Teixeira.
