Ukraine to develop alternative energy irrespectively of results of gas negotiations with Russia -Yanukovych

Ukraine will develop an alternative energy irrespectively of results of gas negotiations with Russia.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, he said this to journalists in Dnipropetrovsk today.

The President of Ukraine noted that Ukraine intends to diversify the supply of imported gas to Ukraine.

“If we do not develop alternative sources of using a fuel – position of Ukraine will be weak”, - specified V. Yanukovych.

The President of Ukraine also expressed a hope that the negotiations with Russia concerning gas price will end in a compromise decision.
