Pechersk District Court of Kyiv started announcing the sentence to former Interior Minister of Ukraine Yuri Lutsenko.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, chair judge in the sitting Serhiy Vovk is reading the sentence.
The courtroom and corridor are overcrowded.
Activists of the Batkivshchyna party and the People’s Self Defense party gathered near the court and they are holding posters and chanting: “Freedom to Yuri!”.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Y. Lutsenko was detained on December 26, 2010. He stays in Lukyanivska pre-trial prison now.
