According to the words of the Vice President of the OSCE PA, the delegation was even refused to speak to Yu. Tymoshenko by phone, in spite of the fact that it is stipulated by legislation.

“This visit is very important for us, because we came here in order to demonstrate a solidarity with the woman, who is a political prisoner in Ukraine”, - noted Walburga Habsburg Douglas.

According to her words, the delegation would like to see how a situation with the observance of the rule of law and human rights is getting on in Ukraine.

“We have seen now with our own eyes what is going in Ukraine”, -said the Vice President of the OSCE PA.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, Walburga Habsburg Douglas noted that they will continue insisting on meeting with ex Prime Minister of Ukraine.

She noted that the reason of refusal to carry out the meeting with Yu. Tymoshenko was an absence of the corresponding permission of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine and the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine.

At the same time Walburga Habsburg Douglas noted that the written refusal from the Ukrainian bodies was sent to the Embassy of Sweden only at 11.00 am today.
