Militia and fighters of Berkut special subdivision are preventing activists of oppositional youth organizations from carrying out “Prepare a tent in spring” action at Maydan.
The press service of the Batkivshchyna party disclosed this to UNIAN.
According to data, when activists of the Batkivshchyna, People’s Movement of Ukraine, Svoboda, Front of Changes and Udar tried to pitch tents, Berkut appeared and surrounded young people trying to take away tents.
The Batkivshchyna also added that when activists presented to militia an official permission of mayor`s office to pitch tents they started referring to “some order of the Main department of control on equipping with services and utilities of Kyiv City State Administration, after that they started grasping activists by hands and legs, pulling them into a car for transfer of prisoners”.
According to the report, as of now some people have been detained and militia employees try to pull them into the car for transfer of prisoners.
Lawmakers from the BYUT-Batkivshchyna Oleksandr Sochka and Victor Ukolov came to the place of incident. They try to stop illegal arrests and block a move of the car.
