Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Lytvyn doubts that the second state language will be introduced in Ukraine.

The press service of the Verkhovna Rada disclosed to UNIAN that the Speaker of the parliament said this today, answering the question during the meeting with a staff of the central regional hospital of Chervonoarmeysk urban settlement of the Zhytomyr Oblast.

V. Lytvyn doubts that second state language will be introduced in Ukraine. He explained that the matter is in introducing amendments into Constitution of Ukraine – its first section that guarantees human rights and freedoms; it is possible to introduce such amendments only in a way of referendum.
