Without high-quality international airports and transport infrastructure Ukraine will not receive foreign investments, and without them there will be no taxes or budget, and therefore – there will be no money with which to build hospitals and schools, according to Information Centre Ukraine-2012.

This is what Vice Premier and Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Borys Kolesnikov said in an interview with British journalists, explaining the economic and social importance of developing the infrastructure for Euro 2012. The meeting between the Euro functionary and representatives of the most influential media of Great Britain took place at Donbas stadium in Donetsk.

Borys Kolesnikov said that the main achievements of Ukrainians for Euro-2012 is that they managed to build four new airports, and from May 20 there are plans to launch a new high speed railway line. "This transport is not as fast as the trains that go from London to Paris. However, our train will move at a speed of 160-180 kilometres an hour, which will make fans, including English, see Ukraine in a new way. In addition, many hotels will allow us to host big business forums. This is a very big plus for the country`s development ", the Vice Prime Minister said.

Whilst speaking to "wordsmiths", he also expressed confidence that by the end of April the issue of high hotel prices for Euro-2012 will be solved. "We will complete the signing with a budget airline for access to the Ukrainian market. And now all the fans will be able to calculate how much flights in both directions for each championship match will cost and how much hotel accommodation will cost. This amount will show an advantage for aviation. I think that from now on prices for hotels will fall sharply ", emphasized Borys Kolesnikov. He added that a two-way ticket from London to Donetsk will cost $300, and the flight will take fans 3.5 hours.
