The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) is urging Yulia Tymoshenko to end the hunger strike she began on April 20 in protest of the abuse she suffered while being forcibly moved from prison to a hospital in Kharkiv, according to the Official web site of Yulia Tymoshenko.

"Given your health condition, the UWC urges you to end your hunger strike and no longer put your life in danger. We wish you a speedy recovery and the strength and courage to continue to serve the Ukrainian people and Ukraine," the UWC wrote in a letter to Yulia Tymoshenko.

Thirteen days have passed since Yulia Tymoshenko began her hunger strike. Numerous political and religious figures, doctors and organizations have urged her to start eating and not endanger her life.
