Foreign Minister of Sweden Carl Bildt believes that the European Union has more powerful instruments of influence than non-attendance of Euro-2012 in Ukraine.

According to an own UNIAN correspondent in Brussels, Carl Bildt said this before the sitting of the Council of Foreign Affairs of the EU today answering a question of journalists about his stand concerning boycott against Ukrainian matches of the finals of the Championship of Europe on football.

“I should say honestly that visit or non-attendance of football games are not main instruments of the European policy. I believe that we have more powerful instruments that we can apply”, - said Carl Bildt.
