Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov states that the claims of the European Union to Ukraine concerning political repressions are not confirmed by facts.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, he said this today opening the broadened sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

“The claims to Ukraine concerning supremacy of law and allegedly political persecutions are general and are not confirmed by proved facts”, - said M. Azarov.

At the same time the head of the government noted that Ukraine has adopted laws on non-governmental organizations, on elections to the Verkhovna Rada and Criminal Procedural Code in accordance with recommendations of EU institutions.
