Plakida appointed Crimean Prime Minister

The Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea voted for appointing Victor Plakida on the post of the Crimean Council of Ministers chairman.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, 75 out of 93 Crimean deputies voted for his appointment.

V.Plakida was born in 1956. During 1999-January 2004 he headed the Feodosiya electric mains. In 2002 he was elected a member of the Feodosiya City Council. In 2004 he occupied the post of the deputy technical director of “Krymenergo” OJSC, and in October 2004 – he headed the Crimean Electrical-Energy System of “Ukrenergo”.
