VRU adopted in first reading draft law on principles of language policy of Kolesnichenko-Kivalov

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted in the first reading a draft law on principles of state language policy, initiators of which are lawmakers of the Party of Regions Vadym Kolesnichenko and Serhiy Kivalov.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, 234 out of 248 lawmakers registered in the session hall voted for this decision.

187 lawmakers of the Party of Regions, 2 members of the OU-PSD faction, 25 members of the CPU faction, 2 members of the People’s Party, 6 members from the Reforms For the Sake of Future group and 12 out factional lawmakers voted for this decision.
