The gas agreements signed with Russia in 2009 while Yulia Tymoshenko was premier fully comply with European standards, says German Deputy of the European Parliament Rebecca Harms, according to Official web site of Yulia Tymoshenko.

"I am familiar with the Tymoshenko case, and I, as a politician that works on energy policy, can confirm that the agreements that were signed in 2009 meet all European standards," Rebecca Harms said, reports Interfax.

She pointed out that the EU analyzed the documents that were the basis for Yulia Tymoshenko’s criminal prosecution. "These are standard agreements that Russia signs with all countries it works with. These were the best terms possible at the time," the MEP underlined.
