The infrastructure objects built for the 2012 European Football Championship will be in great demand even after the end of the tournament. Belief in this was expressed by Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister and Infrastructure Minister Borys Kolesnikov at a press conference in Kyiv, according to Information Centre Ukraine-2012.

According to him, the number of clients increased several times in airports alone.

“The passenger flow of the upgraded Lviv Airport was 750,000 persons this year, but only 50,000 of them arrived for Euro-2012. The total passenger flow saw almost a three-fold increase. Therefore, there are no doubts that airports will be used intensely after the end of the Euro,” Borys Kolesnikov emphasized.

He has also added that the championship itself is being held at the highest level. “The tournament was held brilliantly, and all residents of our host cities received guests not only from abroad, but also from Ukraine itself, at the proper level. I am convinced that the championship will end the same way, successfully,” the vice prime minister said.
