SBU denies that Tsushko asked it to investigate into his eventual poisoning

SBU asks politicians to abstain from alleged public statements

The Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) denies the statement of Vassyl Tsushko, Interior Minister of Ukraine and SPU candidate to parliament, that he addressed to special service with demand to probe into his eventual poisoning.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, SBU spokes person Maryna Ostapenko claimed this to a press conference in Kyiv today.

“Neither Mr. Tsushko, nor any delegates from him, have ever turned to us with this question. So, the SBU did not probe into it”, she said.

M.Ostapenko stressed that SBU asks political forces, as well as certain politicians, to abstain from alleged public statements, rising tension before the election.

“It is time to refuse from the practice, when, to rise their ratings, politicians accuse SBU of spying on them, hampering their activities, and the like”, she said, adding that SBU follows Ukrainian laws.

As UNIAN reported earlier, today V.Tsushko claimed he has intent to turn to the Prosecutor’s General Office of Ukraine with demand to investigate into the fact of his poisoning.
