BYuT front-runner Yulia Tymoshenko claims that if the democratic forces win the election, they will immediately initiate talks on Russian gas supplies to Ukraine. She claimed this to a press conference in Kyiv today.
“We will immediately prepare a meeting concerning the gas supplies”, Yulia Tymoshenko said.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, she stressed the gas talks will not last for a long time.
Yulia Tymoshenko also underscored that the new democratic team will not allow any interruptions of gas supplies, and Ukraine will remain a reliable transiter of gas to Europe.
The BYuT leader also stressed that the issue of gas supplies must be solved without any mediators. “I think this time Ukraine and Russia will be able to build relations without mediators”, Yulia Tymoshenko said.
