The President requires local authorities to provide all conditions for fair, transparent elections, according to the Press office of President Viktor Yanukovych. It was stated by the President in the course of his meetings with Heads of Regional State Administrations in Crimea.

“The government has to provide all conditions for fair, democratic parliamentary elections,” the President noted.

The President paid particular attention of the Heads of regions to the importance of strict observance of the current electoral law and providing equal rights for holding the electoral campaign to all the participants. He emphasized that there are all conditions for it given that the year before the elections in Ukraine the legislation necessary for its successful holding had been adopted. “New electoral law is the result of successful political compromise.
