Two-car collision kills at least three in Ukraine

At least three people were killed and five others were injured in a road accident in southeast Ukraine`s Nikolayev region late Wednesday, local authorities said Thursday, according to Xinhua.

The accident happened about 8:30 p.m. local time (1830 GMT), when a car crashed into another while making a turn on the Nikolaevka-Berezky road, the Emergency Ministry said.

Three people died on the spot, while five occupants from both cars, including two children, were transferred to the local hospital with severe injuries, it said.

According to Ukraine television channel, Fifth, one of the injured died in hospital.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
