Election must be declared invalid at some polling stations in Donetsk – international observers
Due to falsifications
International observers believe that the elections must be declared invalid at some polling stations in the Donetsk Oblast due to falsifications. Members of the Georgian watchdog delegation Givi Targavadze and Levan Tarkhinshvili claimed this to a press conference in UNIAN today.
In particular, G.Targamadze noted that till 19.00 on Sept 30, the elections took place with insignificant violations in the city of Donetsk, but during the last three hours, there were numerous violations. He is confident that, as a result, the election outcome may be distorted by 1-10%. At the same time, the observer stressed that, owing to the work of international observers, they managed to significantly reduce the number of violations.
One will be able to say whether there were mass falsifications only after the final results are established, L.Tarkhinshvili said. The observers disclosed they received information that at some polling stations, they are still trying to transfer votes from the Party of Regions to Socialists.
In the course of the press-conference, the observers listed numerous facts of falsifications, which they revealed in the course of the election.
