President insists on adopting new edition of Constitution in 2008

President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko insists on adopting a new text of the Ukrainian Constitution in 2008.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, he claimed this in Kyiv today, delivering a speech on creating the parliamentary coalition.

Victor Yushchenko recalled that the political crisis in Ukraine was triggered by the political reform in 2004. He emphasized that without reforming the Constitution, it will be hard for Ukraine to maintain political stability.

“The year 2008 must be devoted to a new constitutional process and adopting a new edition of the Constitution”, Victor Yushchenko said.
