Former chairman of the SPU Oleksandr Moroz admits his mistake, which he made as leader of the party in 2006, when unexpectedly for all the SPU faction in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine formed a coalition with the Party of Regions and the CPU.
The press service of the SPU disclosed to UNIAN that candidate to the post of lawmaker O. Moroz admits that “opposition party, which the Socialist Party was and remains, could not and can not be in coalition with the business parties. That is why attempts to form a coalition with the Our Ukraine and the BYUT in 2006 as well as forming a coalition with the Party of Regions and CPU, were mistakes. I accuse only myself of making this mistake. I apologize to my party colleagues and those, who pin their hopes on our party”.
O. Moroz also said that he finished to run the party consciously.
