Party of Regions launched unofficial consultations on creating coalition

They seek a broad coalition of four political forces

The Party of Regions has launched unofficial consultations on creating the coalition, and today plans to meet with representatives of Our Ukraine – People’s Self Defense Bloc. A party leader Raisa Bohatyryova claimed this to journalists today.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, she noted that the Party of Regions has just met with representatives of the Lytvyn’s Bloc. As of today, R.Bohatyryova claimed, there is a preliminary agreement about a meeting with OU-PSD representatives in the afternoon. The Party of Regions also proposed BYuT to meet, and the latter said to appoint the time for the meeting by the evening.

R.Bohatyryova stressed the Party of Regions plans to negotiate with all the political forces, which entered the parliament.

She added that the preliminary consultations will outline the main principles, on the basis of which an official dialog may be carried out after the final results of the election are received.

“We understand that the President, making his statement yesterday, really wants that European traditions of forming the power be supported by all politicians in Ukraine. The President remains in the center of political developments, and remains the principal politician, who unites the country”, R.Bohatyryova stressed.

Asked whether the Party of Regions may enter a broad coalition of the four political forces, R.Bohatyryova stressed that her political forces will seek that.

At the same time, she forecasts a difficult dialog on this issue.
