The topical objective of building the efficient national agriculture is the development of profile infrastructure, according to the Press office of President Viktor Yanukovych. It was stated by the President at the opening of the 24th International Agricultural Exhibition “AGRO-2012”.
“We must develop agricultural infrastructure, particularly transport and logistics base, as well as the retail sales network of food producers,” the President said.
According to the President, Ukraine currently depends on import of several groups of products. “We import a lot of products that can be produced in Ukraine or even exported,” he said.
Among the main objectives of agricultural reform the President called the formation of vertically integrated high-tech systems of food production which would provide market saturation with domestic products with a high level of processing.
