PSD members signed a letter to Yushchenko

The People’s Self-Defense group of Our Ukraine – People’s Self-Defense electoral bloc confirms its principal and invariable position for creating a democratic coalition of OU-PSD and BYuT in the newly elected Verkhovna Rada of the sixth convocation.

According to the PSD statement, forwarded to UNIAN, group members stressed that only this coalition will correspond to the will of the people, who voted for OU-PSD.

The group recalls that the Political Council of OU-PSD Bloc made decision about creating a parliamentary majority only with BYuT a long time ago.

PSD group members have signed a letter to the President, expressing their disagreement with his proposal to involve the Party of Regions in the talks on creating the coalition in the Verkhovna Rada of the 6th convocation. This letter was signed by all representatives of the People’s Self-Defense in the parliament.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on 3 October President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko proposed all political forces, which entered the parliament, to start consultations concerning forming the coalition. At the same time, the Party of Regions agrees to create a “broad” coalition.
