President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko speaks for canceling the existing law on the Cabinet of Ministers and insists that the military and policing branch of government must be subject to him.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, he claimed this today at a meeting with representatives of political forces, which won the early election to the Ukrainian parliament.
Speaking about the existing law on the Cabinet of Ministers, Victor Yushchenko said: “I insist on canceling this law”. According to Victor Yushchenko, it caused problems in the parliament. Victor Yushchenko is convinced that the law was adopted with violating the Constitution. The President calls on political forces, which entered the parliament, to give a fair answer to organizing the work of government.
At the same time, Victor Yushchenko stressed that he speaks for subjecting the whole military and policing branch of government to the President of Ukraine. According to him, it is necessary to avoid outrage with internal troops, and also to prevent cases, such as the attempt to seize the premise of the Prosecutor’s General Office.
