Canadian-Ukrainian Fund/Congress of Ukrainians of Canada and Ukrainian Congress Committee of America will united their international observation electoral missions during the parliamentary elections in Ukraine.
According to the web site of Ukrainian World Congress, the Congress appointed President of UCCA Tamara Oleksiy and President of CUC Pavlo Hrod co-heads of the mission. At the same time Ambassador of Canada in Ukraine Derek Fraser will head the mission, which will be long-term.
President of Ukrainian World Congress Yevgeniy Czolij noted that he has confidence in mission of observers headed by T. Oleksiy and P. Hroda, who carried out many efficient missions in the past.
In his turn, P. Hrod noted that “observers from all over the world, including Dubai, Spain, the USA, Canada, Russia and Australia undertook to join the mission of the Ukrainian World Congress, including many parliamentarians and senators from different countries”.
“As each of our organizations has a great experience and authority in monitoring of elections in Ukraine – it is natural evaluation, which will help to maximize efficiency of our work”, he said.
In her turn T. Oleksiy said that all observers signed a stringent Code of Behavior created  upon pattern of the Code of OSCE. She noted that the mission is not admitted to a political process, it only observes whether elections corresponds to laws of Ukraine and international norms. “Finally we would like to be sure that a will of the Ukrainian people is heard and taken into account”, - she said.
The Ukrainian World Congress and all its component organizations call upon people all over the world to register as observers in elections. Moreover, the Congress addresses for finance support for ensuring efficiency of work of mission.
